Current Publishing 

During our poetry unit, we had the privilege to collaborate with graphic design students from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Each graphic designer set out to design forms and distribute our poems in unique ways that addressed the central message of each poem. Below you can see my poem’s design by Matt. Enjoy! 

Previous Publishings

As a class we recently finished reading the Gold Cadillac by Mildred D. Taylor. This book tells the story of a Black family during the 1950’s during the civil rights movement. These diaries were written by students from the perspective of one member of this family, either ‘lois, the youngest daughter, father, or mother as the family faces discrimination, segregation, and racism. 

 My Camping Trip     

              First of all I woke up full of excitement. I was jumping up and down full of joy.  What happened first was I got Mcdonalds breakfast and took the 4 hour drive to camp.  I  was near the woods at the camp.  When I got to camp I ran to the cabin and said, “This cabin looks so cool!” I brought my tablet and my 3ds and my minecraft creeper and ocelot blanket. There were 2 bunk beds and Angaliese had the top bunk .So there was a tv on the top and and a bed on the roof and a bed when you walked in.The cabin had a kitchen and a bathroom and a fridge. We had 3/0 days of the camp and cabin. Also the cabin was made out of lot’s wood. There was a Christmas event I helped my family put the decorations on the cabin.The cabin had a wreath, christmas lights, and lights hanging, and snowman inflatables and santa with a christmas tree with colorful lights with welcome christmas on the top of the cabin.   Also I went to do a painting project in my cabin.  I painted a whale and the eiffel tower.  When it was time to go I said, “aww man it is time to leave I thought we had 5 days. “ Luckily, whenever I look at my whale and my eiffel tower small sculptures I remember the camp.  

           My Xbox One

One time I got an xbox 1 and I got soooo excited and i downloaded fortnite on it and I got good at the game. Also I played minecraft and got like 15 diamonds in minecraft.Then I was clearing darkness in my cave I found diamonds.Then I got 25 games on it. Next I played a survival world with Angaliese and found diamonds! And I played fortnite and got the battle pass for chapter 2 season 3! Also me and Angaliese played a creative world in minecraft.Then I played a few fun modded worlds. I did not unwrap my xbox. It was in a bag and then I took it out of the bag and took it out of the box and I was so happy to get it. Last I was saying thank you alot and my cousin gave me the card for the xbox live ultimate.Xbox live ultimate is game pass and xbox live gold. I went and played a survival world on a server and I have over 100 diamonds.My xbox felt ruff.My xbox smelled new. I was saving money for vbucks in fortnite. Angaliese did not teach me how to play because I knew how to play.
