During our poetry unit, we had the privilege to collaborate with graphic design students from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Each graphic designer set out to design forms and distribute our poems in unique ways that addressed the central message of each poem. Below you can see my poem’s design by Kailey. Enjoy!

As a class we recently finished reading the Gold Cadillac by Mildred D. Taylor. This book tells the story of a Black family during the 1950’s during the civil rights movement. These diaries were written by students from the perspective of one member of this family, either ‘lois, the youngest daughter, father, or mother as the family faces discrimination, segregation, and racism. 

This is The 1st time I went to Florida

 This would be the 1st time I went on An Airport. I am Nervous And   excited. I Went To Florida.We Were Going To An Airport. We got hundreds Of Bags. My Mom,Sister,Cousins,Grandmother,Aunt. My Aunt Said “

I Can't Wait To Go To An Airport Today!” It Was Our Best State.    

My Sister Said “yay We're Finally Going To An Airport!” 

 I Was 4. I Was Scared To Go To Florida. So It Was Time To Go To The Airport! So We Took A 6th Day Airport Where We Lived In Ireland.   Also There Was  So Much Stuff when we Got off The Airport Like Leaders! And Others! We Had So Much Fun! We Had 56 Water Bottles, They Were Cold! We Also Had cakes, food And More!

So We Got there And Said.. “Ahhh Were Here!!!!”

 We Were All Excited! We Got off The Airport! So We Brought Flowers,Food,Toys,And More! So We Used Our Brains To Think Where We Can Go Next! We Lived In The best Hotel EVER!!!!!  We Had So Many Cakes! My sister said “Lets Buy Food!” And We Got Some Food! My Mom Said  “We Need To Find The Cupcakes…''We Went Back To The Hotel,Saw So Many People. Then we Went Back Home…  We Packed Our Bags,And  It's My First Time At Florida, I Had So Many Bags.  And My Mom Also Showed Me The 1st time I got my teddy bear. I felt very happy even Though They hid it from me. And I Felt Happy So Next Day We Went Back Home And Saw My Friends And Had a Good Time! This Is The 1st Time I Went To Florida! It's The Best Time of My 1st Day There! And I was Happy AS EVER!!!! But My Teddy Bear Was The Best And Always Played With It And Role-Play With My Sisters And Cousins!

Meeting My 1st Friend And Giving Her My Pets

One Day My Friend Told Me To Trade My Pets To Her But I said Ok. And 2 days later I saw an Uncommon Pet, a puma,  in her invetory  And I was like “Wait Where Are My Pets?” She Said “there Gone” I suddenly Cried. I saw Her get A Legendary From Someone! So She Gave Me The Legendary. I started Crying! She said `Your Welcome “smiley Face :)” I Said Thank You So Much but she said I Saved Your Pets! I said WAIT WHAT??? She said I did. Look In My invitoretry Next Time! So I Look At her inventory! I said “Hmm I should Get My Pets Back” nogets The Legendary Pet back to Me! I said Thank You! So I decided to get a Cage For My Pet. But second I saw My friend Look At me with A Pet In her Hand I was Like Thank You! So Second she said here's a free pet!  But I saw her pets on the second floor of the apartment! I said “UNICORN FROSTY” they decided to keep sleeping in their bed! I said “Where Are you Unicorn and frosty?” they ignored Me:( I didn't say The food Name!! But They said “Mom MOM”They were stuck in a Room! I went in the Room And saw Them! I was Like “unicorn Frosty” My friend said “give me the uncommon pets” I said “Ok” But she kept the All year Until 2017 April 15. So Next year in 2018 We decided to become A Witch for halloween! But on Christmas we became an elf! The end of me and my friend giving her my pets!!  1 year later… One day I was In A Place Called Adopt Me.. I was New To Adopt me.. I saw Everyone Have a Pet.. I put Frowny Face :(  So 1 day Later i Saw someone Get a Friend. They said “Hi!” I saw she told me Here! She gave me A Toy I was Happy :)! But Now i saw someone try Taking my Pets!! I said “ Hey!!” They Started Running Away! So I said Wait What! Give My pets back! The Girl Said Nah I'm not!! I said “im banning you from Roblox haha” She said “Wait no :(“ I got my pets back! And I saw My Pets Run Away Quickly! But my best friend Saw them Run! So She Said “Wanna be Friends ”wanna be Friends?”  …….

 I said “Sure! :)” So We Had so Much Fun! She gave me a mega neon!! I Said  “OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!” But I was So Surprised! But They Said “Your Welcome!” But 7 weeks Later..... So We Made A Mega neon Frost ..Fly ride.. So She gave it too So We Went into a Jungle Update :D And We got a parrot and The best Pets!!  So yea…..we also got an owl,parrot,Cow,King bee,Turtle,pink cat. What I just said there is mega neon! Soo…. We got a lot of THE GREATEST  Pets! But dont mind we are rich!! It's true!! But yes !!! *-* Lol !!! So we also got a frost dragon,Unicorn,Toucan,Blue dog,Shadow Dragon:Mega NeonsSo………………. We also TO RICH for YOU!!! Yeah You Know…… :P its true sister!!!!also…….  We had so much fun together. But later on i'll tell you about my story....
